Christmas Time is Here!

Christmas time has arrived at Severo Ochoa, and we have decorated the school to celebrate the season!

We´ve been busy making Christmas-themed arts and crafts.

We also have several Christmas trees!

Everybody loves a bit of thinsel!

A Very SPOOKtacular Halloween!

We prepared for Halloween by creating our own scary witches...

And learning all of the holiday´s frightening vocabulary.

Finally the big day arrived! But were we prepared for the costumes awaiting us --

like this blood-thirsty vampire?

Or bouncing pirates?

We celebrated Halloween with lots of trick-or-treating and spooky games. Can you see the witch...or is that a teacher? On this holiday you never know who is who!

I spy some pretty princesses on stilts...

look out, don´t fall!

We ended our spooky day with songs and laughter in a great big circle.

Our infant education students welcomed in the Spring by working with English vocabulary and expressions of th season.

Skeletons everywhere! And it´s not even Halloween...

This month, our second graders have been taking a hard
look at themselves...on the inside! They have learned all about the bones that make up the human body, with a little help from our friend

Mr. Skeleton.

"This is the humerus!" says one of our students, pointing to Mr. Skeleton. He is so nice to let us learn with him!

The second graders show off the skeletons they made themselves. Where is the femur? Where is the cranium? They can answer those questions and more!
